In 2012 I decided I was going to take the IRS by storm. I was on my 3rd promotion in 4 years. I’d figured out the “secret” to success and I was ready! I had a talk with my boyfriend that went something like this, “my train is moving, hop on board or get outta the way! These people don’t know who they’re messing with! Who’s gonna stop me?” Yeah I’m sure he’s still laughing. By 2014 as I was sitting in my manager’s chair in an office in Santa Ana, now on my 4th promotion. Sitting in an office that was 53 miles away from my house and took me over an hour to get to each morning and nearly 2 hours to come home from each evening. Sitting there thinking to myself “how do I get out of here?” I knew there had to be something more that I was destined to do. I knew there was more that I was capable of doing. I knew that the highlight of my month should not have been preparing the agenda for my monthly staff meeting because that was the only time I was able to express any creativity. With 3 degrees and a brain that never stops working I put my thoughts into action and started on a business plan. I recruited my favorite cousin and my closest co-worker and we set out to change the world… the accounting and tax world any way. But in that process I learned that I had a voice and a calling to empower others to stop spending their lives at jobs they hate; to encourage people to follow their dreams and earn a living instead of working.

“The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office.” – Robert Frost
